Build this for my datesYou fly into Jeddah (JED) for Makkah, or into Madinah (MED) to begin there, and home from the other end, almost always with one hub connection. Ihram is entered before the meeqat, and the crew announce it on the approach into Jeddah. A vehicle meets you at the airport, and the move between the two cities is usually the Haramain train, roughly two to two and a half hours, with the station transfers included. The first day is planned around your arrival, not against it.
Meals and gifts are personal spending on top unless your package says otherwise. Every package document lists what it holds, line by line, so nothing is assumed.
Which document you travel on depends on your passport, not on your address. Citizens of eligible countries enter on the Saudi eVisa, the tourist visa, on which Umrah is perfectly lawful outside the Hajj season; other passports take the dedicated Umrah visa, and a Pakistani passport held in Canada takes the document that belongs to that passport. We read the right row for you from our own rate book and tell you which visa you are travelling on before you pay. Passports generally need at least six months validity, and meningococcal ACWY vaccination is the standard requirement. See the Umrah visa page.
Bookings from Canada are paid in full, due within three days, by card through our checkout or by bank transfer with the proof uploaded on your own package page. Instalments are a Pakistan option only.
A plan for a Canadian family opens at a four or five-star hotel within walking distance of the Haram, because that is what most guests from Canada ask for. It is a starting point and never a ceiling: ask for the cheapest room on the street and that is what you will be shown, with an honest line about the walk it costs. Every hotel is named, with its distance from the Haram and why it suits your party.
Ramadan and the school holidays are the busiest weeks to pick, and hotel rates and Rawdah slots both show it. Ramadan hotel bookings are non-refundable and non-changeable. If your dates can move, ask what a quieter week looks like before you commit to the busy one.
